Specialist Playlist

We've been trying to listen to the shows as much as possible this week and they are sounding good, despite the dodgy computer issues! So well done! Do make sure you get your show posters sent to press@xpressradio.co.uk, so we can advertise individual shows on the screens in the union.

We are also going to be introducing a 'Specialist Playlist' which will be played during mainstream hours as well as the normal Xpress playlist. This is to increase awareness of Specialist shows and jazz up what's played on Xpress during the day. It would therefore be helpful if you could all upload a song or two this week during/before/after your show. Make sure the song is on CD then go to the middle computer (in between the two doors to the balcony). Then find audio cart 6000 (it will be labelled Specialist Playlist) or click Find and type Specialist Playlist on Audiowall.

Then select the next available cart and right click it. Click import from CD track. Then check the tickbox next to the track you wish to import and click RIP. Once the track has been imported, type in the track name and Artist name.

If you get stuck, try heading up to the studio in the day at any point during the week when there's likely to be someone around to give you a hand.

Also, do remember to contact Steve at audioproductions@xpressradio.co.uk with mp3s for jingles or beds; these can also be played in the day to tie in with the Specialist playlist and increase your listener base.
